Sohba ("we", "us") helps gamers find teammates. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Sohba you agree to this policy.
Account information: your email address and a password (stored by our authentication provider; we never see your password), plus your username and date of birth.
Profile information you choose to add: display name, profile photo, bio, the games you play and your ranks, play style, availability, regions, languages, and platforms.
Activity in the app: your swipes (accept or skip), matches, messages you send, your "Looking for group" status, when you were last active, and any reports or blocks you submit.
Device information: a push-notification token if you enable notifications, and small amounts of data stored securely on your device (such as sign-in session and app preferences).
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
With other users: your profile information and online status are visible to other Sohba users as part of matchmaking. Your email address and date of birth are never shown to other users (only your age is displayed).
With service providers: we use Supabase to host our database and authentication, and Expo to deliver push notifications. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights such as access, correction, portability, or erasure of your data. Contact us to exercise them.
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted. We may retain limited records where required for safety (for example, reports under review) or by law.
We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections, secure on-device storage for session data, and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Sohba is for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and data.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app. Continued use of Sohba after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
